New! Diode laser for hair removal - effective, painless and with no burns

There are different ways to get rid of unwanted hair on the body. But the best method with a lasting effect is laser hair removal. A multifunctional diode laser, unlike its “colleagues,” has a number of tangible advantages: the procedure is available for any type of skin, can be used on different areas and at any time of the year, including the summer!

Physiological laser. What is it?

In practice, diode lasers with the wavelength of 810-940 nm are the gold standard for hair removal. This is due to the physical properties of melanin, which absorbs the light energy of a certain wavelength. That is why diode lasers are considered physiological, they do not have an aggressive effect on the structure of the skin and are selective: they do not cause burns and reduce the risk of hypopigmentation, which is characteristic of an alexandrite laser. The light energy is actively absorbed by the melanin of the hair follicle, directly affecting and destroying its structure. At the same time, the surrounding tissue is not damaged.

Justified expectations

The physiological aspect of diode laser hair removal is manifested in the natural gradual loss of hair in the area treated. The patients should not expect that the hair will fall out instantly during the procedure, which occurs when processing with an alexandrite laser and just indicates the depth of the skin damage (burn). However, if the diode laser is underpowered, the opposite effect can be achieved - stimulation of hair growth due to the activation of sleeping hair follicles can be triggered. Effective, safe and predictable hair removal is what you can expect from laser hair removal.

Advantages of the MeDioStar_Monolith diode laser.

MeDioStar_Monolith is a powerful 6th generation diode laser with a combined wavelength of 810/940 nm, a variable pulse width and an effective skin cooling system that allows you to work on all skin phototypes (I-VI). The undeniable advantages of the new laser are the large size of the radiation spot - 10 cm2, the power and a high pulse repetition rate (20Hz) that can affect deeply lying hair follicles and ingrown hairs. These things, put together, are the key to effective, quick, reliable and more gentle removal of unwanted hair.

Any color type, any hair structure, any time of the year

MeDioStar works well on any hair - dark and light, as well as affects ingrown and deep-lying hair. Ideal for large areas of the body - back, shoulders, limbs and for the treatment of sensitive and delicate areas – bikini zone, armpits, face, nose, ears. Men use the laser to trim the hair on the back of the neck, shape the beard and mustache.

The laser epilation in the intimate zone allows you to achieve a double effect: it also rejuvenates, tightening (lifting) the labia majora and lightening the skin in these places.

There are several contraindications for diode hair removal - pregnancy, cancer, skin lesions in the treated area (herpes, pyoderma). In other cases, if there are no individual contraindications, then after a consultation with the doctor, it can be used by everyone - adolescents and seniors, men and women.

Diode hair removal with MeDioStar_Monolith is available at any time of the year, even in summer.

How is the hair removal performed?

The MeDioStar_Monolith device has two handpieces - for processing large areas of skin, and small ones. One of them allows to concentrate on small areas, getting rid of hair that have grown in the wrong positions, as well as ingrown hairs.

The second handpiece is for the arms, legs, back and abdomen.

The day before the scheduled laser hair removal session, the patient must use a depilation cream or shave the area intended for the procedure. The hair length should not exceed 1-2 mm. Zones of fast-growing hair (chin for men, bikini zone, armpits) can be shaved on the day of the procedure.

After bleaching, plucking with tweezers, waxing or using an electric epilator, diode laser hair removal is recommended after 2-4 weeks. After microdermabrasion, chemical peeling and other laser treatments, at least 2 weeks should pass. A hair removal session lasts from 10 minutes depending on the treatment area. The procedure must be repeated after 4 weeks for the face and 6-8 weeks for the body.

There is a painless mode available as well

There is a widespread myth that if you don’t feel anything, the method or the device is not effective. But it is only normal if the procedures become increasingly more comfortable and do not cause any discomfort. The process of hair removal can be made less painful due to the unique handpieces and a special “smooth” hair removal mode, in which the surface is processed with a large number of pulses with low energy.

Is it safe?

The beam is dangerous only with direct exposure to the eyes. But during the procedure, both the doctor and the patient use safety glasses.
