Nose plastic - perfect profile (rhinoplasty)

"A beautiful woman is professional, all others are amateurs" – said a poet. But who can define a criterion of beauty if this is a subjective and uncertain concept?! And nevertheless, visual beauty of the face is based on the harmony of features – that is on their optimal correlation. Often the form and the size of the nose do not fit this ideal "design". Today rhinoplasty is among the first five most popular operations among women. Its essence – improving the form and the size of a nose, correcting congenital or posttraumatic defects, salving the problems connected with a respiratory function of the nose. Its result – elimination of disharmony and creation of aesthetic balance of features, improvement of physiological functions of the nose.

  • A long and large nose.
  • A short and wide nose.
  • Your nose is too snub.
  • A gibbous nose ("aquiline").
  • A large "Greek" nose.
  • A wide basis of the nose dorsum.
  • A wide and sagging nose.
  • The tip of the nose is large, thickened and hangs above the upper lip.
  • Saddle–shaped nose.
  • Big nostrils, etc.
  • There was a trauma of the nose with a break of the nasal partitions. It is deformated/sinks down.
  • The back of the nose is displaced/deformated.
  • Nose breathing impairment.
The majority of people are not delighted with their noses. To decide to change the shape of a nose is much more difficult, than to decide on any other operation, because a transformation will be obvious. A new nose is capable to change your face essentially and it attracts and frightens at the same time. Rhinoplasty is necessary when an aesthetic disbalance of the face features oppresses you and prevents to live in harmony with yourself. Emergency operation – reposition (in case of a trauma) can be performed even for children. Nose traumas result not only in external deformations, but also in impairment of nose breathing, therefore it is desirable to make a restoration of the nose osteocartilaginous skeleton in the first 10 days after a trauma. Later an operation will be more complex. At times an early reposition is impossible because of the condition of the surrounding soft tissues; therefore an optimal term for reposition will be 3–6 day after a trauma. Complex posttraumatic nose reconstructions sometimes require a repeated operation. The second stage of rhinoplasty can be performed in half a year when all cicatrices are finally formed. It is not recommended to do an aesthetic rhinoplasty before 19 years of age. Age of 18–25 years is optimal from the point of view of tissues condition and psychological readiness of the patient to change the appearance. Usually it is demanded by patients of 20–40 years and older. After 45–50 years a special approach is required as age–specific enlargement of cartilaginous tissue begins, the elasticity of the skin worsens and the regenerative abilities of the skin, cartilages and bones decrease, therefore the period of rehabilitation can be longer.
We do all kinds of rhinoplasty: shortening of a nose, correction of the height and width, of the back and wings of the nose (falling back and deformations), elimination of a small hump, plastics of a nose tip, correction of a partition deformation, elimination of soft tissues deformation, correction of posttraumatic defects, functionally–aesthetic rhino (septo) plasty, etc. There are special techniques to correct age changes in the nose area.
Problems with blood coagulability, acute inflammatory process in paranasal sinuses, severe diseases of internal organs; infectious diseases, serious cardiovascular and oncological diseases, uncontrollable high blood pressure, diabetes, complete loss of skin elasticity, propensity to excessive scarring (keloid cicatrices), disease of the thyroid gland, accompanied by its hyperfunction.
Duration: from 40 minutes till 3 hours (depending on the level of complexity and the volume of surgical manipulations). The algorithm of rhinoplasty is dictated by the nose peculiarities and how much change must be made.
General combined.
1–3 days in hospital (depending on operation volume). Painful sensations are moderately expressed. Special inconvenience for you: temporary necessity to breathe with a mouth for some time. The nasal channels are filled with tampons which fix the new form of the nose. They are removed in 2–3 days after the operation. An external plaster splint is also imposed (it is removed in 6–9 days). After an operation it is not recommended to take hot baths, to attend a sauna and a sun deck, to go in for sports. It is necessary to refrain from alcohol to avoid the risk of long–term hypostasis. Bruises disappear in a week. Do not worry, if after the removal of the bandage there will be some puffiness – it disappears in 10–15 days. The surgeon will give you detailed recommendations before you leave the hospital. You will be able to return to work in 1.5–2 weeks. The early results are visible in 2–3 weeks. It is considered, that the nose gets its final form in the period from 6 months till one year after operation. A good result of rhinoplasty is life–long.
Hypodermic hematomas (disappear in 1–2 weeks). Inflammatory changes of soft tissues (patients with lower immunity). Formation of keloid cicatrices (takes place when the skin has an individual propensity to their formation). In most cases serious complications are caused by mistakes of not qualified surgeons – be careful when choosing a surgeon and a clinic!
